Does BackorderPRO add a checkout extension?

No. There is no checkout UI extension. The delivery and pre-order elements live on the product page, on collection cards and in the cart drawer. The "what the customer saw" data in the Backorder Tracker is an internal snapshot, not a visible checkout element.

How are feed products matched to my Shopify products?

By SKU or EAN/barcode. Matching is tolerant — it trims whitespace and leading zeros and is case-insensitive — so small formatting differences between your feed and Shopify still match.

Which file formats and sources are supported?

CSV, Excel (.xls/.xlsx) and XML, delivered via a public URL, file upload, or — on the Business plan — FTP/SFTP and browser-rendered feeds for JavaScript-heavy supplier sites.

How often does the feed sync?

Free syncs weekly; Starter, Growth and Business sync once per day. You can also run a sync manually: 1/day on Free, 3/day on Starter, 20/day on Growth and unlimited on Business.

In how many languages can customer emails be sent?

Customer notification emails ship with 11 built-in template languages: EN, NL, FR, DA, ES, CS, PL, DE, PT, IT and SV. Email notifications are available from the Starter plan and up.

Is my customer data safe?

Yes. BackorderPRO is hosted in the EU and only touches the product data needed for stock updates. If email notifications are enabled, the affected customer's email is encrypted at rest and stored solely to send those messages — it is never shared with the AI model. Supplier credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and you can delete all data at any time.

What does the AI Inventory Analysis do?

It is an opt-in report (explicit consent) generated from aggregated data only. It compares month-to-date revenue against the same period last month, analyses your in-stock versus out-of-stock sales and suggests reorder advice. No customer-identifiable data is ever sent, and consent can be revoked at any time.

Can I use stock status as a storefront filter?

Yes. The snoek_bpo.stock_status metafield can power Shopify Search & Discovery filters (in stock / backorder / pre-order), and all delivery/pre-order text appears in Shopify Translate & Adapt.
